Maybe instead of asking people to perform, I will go visit and maybe actually get to participate in the session. If I can't, just observing would be awesome! I am really excited about this project. It's an amazing thought to be able to help people and brighten up there day by doing something I love to do.
So I am going to talk to my teacher Susan and try to see if her husband, if not too busy, can be on my panel. He knows much about music therapy because it was his major. I just want all the help and research I can get
From reading the post before you posted this one, I can say both ideas are great for including people from therapy sessions to perform for your project/presentation. I say that because I think you should try to drop by their session or the place where they have sessions and become friends with the therapist hopefully enough to get in deeper with the clients. You should definitely participate in their session if it's a group thing, it would be hard to get in a one on one or even impossible. From that you would be able to make acquaintances with the clients and even do recruits or try-outs for participants in your project. It's time to leave so I have to wrap up, but besides that I will follow your project more becuase I didn't know we were doing basically the same things, just in different methods, and genres. Good work, and good luck.
