This is Why
So I have about two weeks to prepare for the performance. Meaning a t this point I am practicing what I will say and sing and practicing my speech. I am very excited the it is coming so soon. I have been waiting for this all year long. I have had struggles and frustrations, but I am excited to see my passions unfold.
All this could not be done if it weren't for the support of my family and also the determination and passion of my teachers, especially Susan. Being the first seniors, ever, at Chinquapin to accomplish senior project, gives me great inspiration. I feel trusted. We were chosen to be the first for a reason. Our teachers believed that we could take on something great like. Senior project on. And we have with great content and excitement.

It's Coming
So I have finished my rubric, I will be handing it to my panel members. I am almost halfway done fine-tuning my script. I am realizing that I am not the only one that is greatly affected by music. I have talked to many people that agree that music is very influential and powerful. People can be influenced by music in ways such as personality, mentality, and judgement.
I am excited to be performing so soon. I will be singing all day long on May 15th. In the morning, I will be singing for my graduation mass at church, then I will present my presentation at 2 then sing for my choir at 5 pm. I will be singing my heart out that day. I love you sing. It relieves stress. It makes my feel good and reassures me that anything is possible.

Lights, Camera, Action...
So I believe I have found a place. It is in Pasadena. I am hoping for May 15th. It's will be that Sunday afternoon around 1-2. My panel members have already told me that they are availabe that day. All I need to do is get my rubric and my script (or speech) done. Everything is coming along nicely. I am excited how things are working out. It's almost the end of the year and I need to give it my all. I basically have one more month of school work left.

Where At?
So I need to find a place to perform my presentation. I would like to present before May 10th if possible. I don't really have a preference as long as it's in central Houston and easy to locate. I need to start doing some research on places that I could perform. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I will be posting up my ideas of my presentation soon.

Reaching Out
Maybe instead of asking people to perform, I will go visit and maybe actually get to participate in the session. If I can't, just observing would be awesome! I am really excited about this project. It's an amazing thought to be able to help people and brighten up there day by doing something I love to do.
So I am going to talk to my teacher Susan and try to see if her husband, if not too busy, can be on my panel. He knows much about music therapy because it was his major. I just want all the help and research I can get

If You Never Try You'll Never Succeed
What I want to do is have a performance. I want to present how music is powerful and can inspire someone to do great things. I wan to show a video of Nathaniel Ayers, an extraordinary violinist with schizophrenia, and show how he transforms into a completely different person when he's creating music. I would also like to contact music therapy clinics with patients and possibly have them perform. That will be the complicated part. I don't know if people will be willing to come and perform, but i can only try. I want to show how music literally works magic.
I will speak a bit about my grandfather and how music affected him and I will illustrate how music has had an effect throughout my life. I will also perform and sing a song or too.
I need to figure out where I'm going to have this performance and what exact date. Does anyone has any suggestions? If it costs money I will have to find a way to raise the money.
